Normal bone drill holds bits < 6mm. Acetabulum reaming drills operate at ~300 rpm, while cannulated drills operate at ~600 rpm.
Remove the battery after surgery to prevent automatic discharge and maintain battery life.
The battery is not autoclavable and must not be sterilized.
Cranial burs must be washed immediately after surgery to avoid blood sticking, then dried thoroughly.
Ensure no water remains in the battery space of the handpiece after sterilization.
